Australian online motorcycle retail heavyweight MXstore has thrown its support behind the inaugural 2022 Australian Arenacross Series powered by Protraxx.

The nationally-recognised, MA-sanctioned Australian Arenacross Series has been developed to offer all levels of racers an exciting spectacle on a full-blown arenacross track, introduced to fill the vital gap between grassroots competition and supercross at the professional level.

MXstore’s Mike Sleeter says a feeder programme such as the Australian Arenacross Series will allow all riders to gain valuable racing experience and ultimately improve the depth of the country’s talent pool.

“Australia has produced some amazing Supercross riders in the past 20 years, but the depth has been shallow as of late. This series will allow riders of all ages to gain experience on a track and racing format that has the same obstacles and race feel as a Supercross-type event,” Sleeter stated.

“Not only will the Australian Arenacross Series breed young riders for the future, but it’ll allow vets and other amateurs to race on a true-to-scale arenacross track in locations where the public might not normally get to witness this style of racing. Our team at MXstore is excited to be working with the Australian AX series in 2022 and beyond.”

Australian Arenacross director, Jessica Proctor, welcomed MXstore as a major partner of the new series: “We’re thrilled to have the support of MXstore for our inaugural series and we’re looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership together,” said Proctor.

“Arenacross racing offers both racers and fans an incredible experience, with both intense on-track action and quality trackside entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. We’re grateful to the MXstore team for believing in our vision of shaping the next generation of superstars.”
